Six Killed, 23 Injured in Syria Explosion in Assayida Zainab Town

International Desk, 28th July: As many as six people lost their lives, and 23 others sustained injuries in a tragic explosion that occurred on Thursday night in Syria, as reported by the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA).

The devastating explosion targeted Assayida Zainab town, located in the Damascus countryside.

According to the SANA report, the explosion was caused by the detonation of a motorcycle near a taxi at Kou Sudan Street in Sayyida Zainab.

In response to the incident, the Interior Ministry issued a statement, stating, “The police and authorities concerned rushed to the explosion place as bodies of the martyrs and the injured were admitted to hospitals.”

The authorities have commenced an investigation into the matter, seeking to ascertain the cause and circumstances surrounding the tragic incident. As investigations continue, further details are expected to emerge, shedding light on the extent of the damage and the impact on the affected community.
