Guwahati, 11th August: A horrifying case of matricide has shaken the district, as a man lost his life in a brutal attack by his own wife. The victim, identified as Jogeswar Mirdha, fell victim to a deadly assault with a pickaxe wielded by his wife, Manju Mirdha.
The incident unfolded in Dinjoy, located in the Chabua subdivision. Sources revealed that a domestic dispute had escalated to a violent confrontation, resulting in the fatal attack. Jogeswar Mirdha was left bleeding profusely due to the grievous injuries inflicted upon him by the pickaxe. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries shortly after the attack.
Local authorities were alerted to the incident, and the accused, Manju Mirdha, was swiftly taken into custody. The police have registered a case against her under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
