Guwahati, 18th August: A shocking incident of violence unfolded in Tezpur as miscreants attacked a college student during twilight hours. The victim, a young girl, suffered a grievous injury as her right arm was slashed with a sharp weapon in the assault. The incident occurred in the Ghorpora Chuburi area of Tezpur.
Local residents rushed to the victim’s aid and promptly transported her to the hospital for medical attention. The injured student, a first-semester attendee of the Department of Political Science at Darrang College, was residing in a rented house in Ghorpora Chuburi.
After committing the violent act, the assailants fled the scene, leaving behind a sense of shock and concern within the local community. Authorities are actively investigating the incident to identify and apprehend those responsible for the attack.
