Guwahati, 18th August: A distressing incident unfolded in Guwahati as a group of intoxicated youth allegedly attempted to sexually assault a woman. The incident occurred late at night in front of BK Tower in the Ganeshguri area of the city.
According to initial reports, the woman was riding her two-wheeler when the group of youth intercepted her, subjecting her to inappropriate behavior. The situation escalated further as some of the intoxicated individuals proceeded to vandalize barricades and signboards of nearby businesses.
Upon receiving information about the incident, a swift response from the police was initiated. The arrival of law enforcement prompted the unruly group to disperse, with one individual, identified as Dhrubajyoti Das, being detained by the police.
