Assam CM to Inaugurate Maligaon Flyover, Enhancing Public Safety Measures
Guwahati, 30th August: Much eagerly awaited Maligaon flyover is set to be inaugurated by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday evening.
Scheduled for unveiling at 4:30 pm, a traffic advisory has been issued for commuters heading to Bharalu from Jalukbari.
In anticipation of the inauguration, Chief Minister Sarma previewed the impressive aerial view of the flyover through a video shared on the ‘X’ platform. The caption accompanying the video read, “Tomorrow, we will be dedicating Assam’s longest flyover to the people.”
Guwahati’s latest architectural marvel, the Maligaon flyover, promises to be a sight to behold with its distinctive rainbow arch and a globe gracing the Tiniali Junction.
With preparations underway for the grand opening ceremony of the flyover, stringent measures have been put in place to bolster public safety. The focus is on safeguarding vulnerable road users, including children, students, women, senior citizens, and individuals with disabilities.
To ensure safety, strategic traffic restrictions and diversions will be enforced, ensuring the smooth passage of emergency vehicles, including ambulances and fire trucks.
