National Desk, 30th August: A deeply disturbing incident unfolded in the national capital as an Amazon e-commerce platform manager lost his life while another individual sustained injuries when unidentified assailants opened fire on them. The shocking event transpired on Tuesday night.
The incident occurred close to Subhash Vihar in the Bhajanpura area around 11:37 p.m. The victims were traveling on a motorcycle when the assailants abruptly intercepted them and unleashed gunfire.
Following the attack, both individuals were rushed to the hospital. Regrettably, despite medical intervention, the manager identified as Harpreet Gill was declared deceased. His friend, Govind Singh, suffered a bullet injury to his right ear and is currently receiving medical care at LNJP Hospital.
Presently, the assailants remain at large. Vigorous efforts are underway to apprehend them, with law enforcement scrutinizing CCTV footage to aid in their identification.
