Guwahati, 5th September: In a shocking case, a fraudulent doctor who had been practicing for ten years was apprehended by the Guwahati city police during an operation in Jyotikuchi on Tuesday.
The accused, identified as Parmesh Chakraborty, had been treating patients at Charu Lakshmi Medical Pharmacy, located within Shankar Hotel in Jyotikuchi.
The medical association of Assam filed a complaint against the fake doctor at Fatasil Police Station, leading to the police conducting a raid at Shankar Hotel. During the operation, the police apprehended the accused and seized various documents from his possession.
This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of verifying the credentials and qualifications of healthcare practitioners to ensure the safety and well-being of patients.
