Gunfire Erupts at Aligarh Muslim University, Injuring Three

National Desk, 3rd October: Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh – Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) witnessed a terrifying incident on Monday night when several bike-borne assailants opened fire on campus, leaving three individuals injured.

According to reports, the armed suspects, wielding guns, entered the university campus and began firing indiscriminately in the vicinity of the VM Hall. They subsequently proceeded to SS North Hall, where they continued to discharge their firearms.

During the gunfire exchange, Dr. Sadiq Ali, a student from ACN College who was at AMU for a specific task, suffered injuries. Additionally, two others, Firoz Alam and Abdullah, sustained bullet wounds in the incident. All three injured individuals were promptly transported to JN Medical College for immediate medical care.

Law enforcement authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident and are conducting search operations to apprehend the assailants. Preliminary information suggests that the incident may have arisen from a dispute between two groups of students that escalated to gunfire.

The incident has raised concerns about the safety and security on the AMU campus, prompting calls for enhanced measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
