Delhi: Video of Car Dragging Police Barricade Goes Viral

National Desk, 8th November: In a peculiar incident, a Maruti Suzuki Swift car was captured on video dragging a Delhi Police barricade on a flyover in Delhi. The video, shared by Instagram user Jitmanyu Parashar, has gone viral on various social media platforms, amassing over 2.58 lakh views on Instagram alone.

The video depicts a blue Maruti Suzuki Swift with a Delhi Police barricade hanging from its left side, driving on a major flyover in Delhi during the night. The car’s hazard lights are on, and a person from a different vehicle records the incident. In the course of the video, the barricade’s wheel also breaks away after being dragged for a considerable distance.

Authorities are yet to confirm whether any action has been taken against the individuals responsible for this unusual incident. Barricades are typically placed by the police to control rash driving, drunk driving, and to deter people from driving on the wrong side of the road. Most of the time, these barricades are manned by Delhi Police personnel to monitor drivers, especially during nighttime. However, in this particular case, it does not appear that the barricade was manned by police officers.
