Assam: Dengue cases rise in Cachar: 1 dead, over 20 hospitalised

Guwahati, 22nd November: With dengue cases on the rise in Assam, one individual succumbed to the illness in Cachar district, according to emerging reports.

The deceased, identified as Dilip Kumar Nath, reportedly came contact with the disease immediately after returning from Haflong a few days ago.

Despite undergoing treatment at the Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH), he passed away on Sunday.

Meanwhile, more than 20 individuals, said to be infected with dengue, are currently receiving treatment at SMCH.

Moreover, 10 people are undergoing treatment at private hospitals in Silchar.

As of Tuesday, the District Health Department has reported that the number of cases has reached 30.
