Guwahati, 20th February: In a harrowing incident in Assam’s Digboi, a woman was reportedly beaten to death by her own family members on Tuesday.
The cold-blooded murder occurred in Borbil Gaon No.3, where the victim, identified as Dipmala Tudu, was allegedly thrashed to death by her brother-in-law, Munin Tudu, and his wife, Sumi Tudu.
Dipmala Tudu, wife of Bablu Tudu and mother to a three-year-old son and a seven-month-old daughter, fell victim to this tragic incident.
Bablu Tudu, her husband, was reportedly away for work in Makum when the murder took place. Upon being informed, villagers alerted the local police, who promptly intervened and took control of the situation.
According to eyewitnesses, Dipmala Tudu was ruthlessly beaten with a rod until she lost consciousness, ultimately leading to her untimely demise.
The Digboi Police immediately arrived at the crime scene, apprehended the accused, Munin Tudu and Sumi Tudu, and have launched further investigations into the matter.
The shocking incident has sent shockwaves through the community, prompting authorities to take immediate action to ensure justice for the victim and her grieving family.
