Manipur: SSC Rectifies Data Error, Declares Results for State Constable Recruitment

National Desk, 22nd March: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the results for the recruitment of constables in the Central Armed Police Forces for Manipur after addressing a data computation error, as per an official statement.

Initially, the final result for the Constable (general duty) positions in various forces was declared on August 20, 2023, for all states and Union Territories except Manipur. However, due to the inability to conduct physical and medical tests in Manipur at that time, the results for the state were withheld.

Subsequently, on March 15, 2024, the final result for Manipur was declared after conducting the necessary tests in multiple phases due to the prevailing law and order situation in the state.

However, during the processing of the result dated March 15, 2024, a data error was discovered, leading to the withdrawal of the result on March 18, 2024. The SSC then rectified the discrepancy and reissued the results on March 21, 2024.

The revised result considers a total of 597 vacancies for Manipur, which will be allocated to various forces including the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Assam Rifles, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), and the Secretariat Security Force (SSF).

The SSC, as one of the largest recruiting agencies of the government, is responsible for recruitment to various Group B and Group C posts in central ministries and departments.
