Assam: Five Youths Apprehended for Allegedly Burning BJP Flags in Darrang District
Northeast Desk, 25th April: Reports have surfaced indicating that the Assam Police has apprehended five youths in Darrang district on suspicion of burning Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) flags.
According to sources, the incident occurred on Wednesday when the youths attempted to fill fuel at a petrol pump using a BJP coupon. Upon being refused service, they allegedly staged a protest, accusing the BJP of burning their flags.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Mukhtar Hussain, Anar Hussain, Boga Haque, Hanif Ali, and Ainul Haque. The police are conducting further investigations into the matter to ascertain the details of the alleged flag burning incident and the motive behind it.
