Bodoland People’s Front Predicts Impending Collapse of BJP-UPPL Alliance Post Lok Sabha Elections

Northeast Desk, 27th April: In a rally held in Baksa district, Hagrama Mohilary, president of the Bodoland People’s Front (BPF), declared that the alliance between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) is teetering on the brink of collapse, anticipating its demise shortly after the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Mohilary highlighted the widening gap between the BJP and UPPL, disclosing internal insights that showcased BPF’s recent victory over the national party in Darrang Udalguri during the Lok Sabha polls. He emphasized a notable shift in voter allegiance towards the BPF, particularly within the inner circles of the UPPL.

“With no significant opposition in Kokrajhar, where BJP refrained from fielding candidates, and the Congress presenting a lackluster candidate, the path is clear for BPF’s triumph,” remarked Mohilary.

Critiquing the BJP’s campaign efforts in Kokrajhar, Mohilary dismissed their endeavors as mere theatrics. He reiterated the broad-based appeal of the BPF, stating that constituents from diverse ethnic backgrounds are firmly aligned with the party’s vision, ensuring widespread support in the upcoming electoral battle.

Mohilary predicted the imminent dissolution of the BJP-UPPL alliance, attributing it to the BJP’s purported disenchantment with the UPPL’s electoral performance. Allegations of misappropriation of government resources and a lack of substantive achievements were leveled against the UPPL, further tarnishing their credibility in the political landscape.

“Confirmed reports suggest that BJP will sever ties with UPPL, withdrawing support due to their failure to secure electoral victories and allegations of malfeasance,” stated Mohilary.
