Assam CM Distributes First Tranche of Admission Fee Reimbursements to Students

Guwahati, July 10: In a significant initiative aimed at empowering college and university students in Assam, Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma ceremonially distributed the first tranche of admission fee reimbursements under the Pragyan Bharati scheme.

The event, held with pomp and enthusiasm, marked a milestone as a total of 94,838 students from across Assam benefitted from this progressive initiative. The funds, disbursed directly to Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), underscored the government’s commitment to supporting students’ educational endeavors.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Dr. Sarma urged students to utilize the financial support wisely and to channel their efforts towards acquiring skills that will contribute to Assam’s growth trajectory. He highlighted the state’s aspiration to rank among the top five states in India and emphasized the pivotal role of skilled human resources in achieving this goal.
