Nine Children Killed as Temple Wall Collapses in Madhya Pradesh
National Desk, 4th August: In a tragic incident on August 4, nine children were killed and several others injured after the wall of the Hardayal temple collapsed in Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar district amid heavy rainfall. The temple, located in Shahpur, was 50 years old, and the collapse occurred during the Sawan festivities, when earthen shivlings were being made.
Rescue operations are underway, with visuals from the site showing a bulldozer being used to find survivors. This incident follows another tragedy a day earlier in Madhya Pradesh’s Rewa district, where the collapse of an abandoned building’s wall killed four children as they were returning home from school.
