Nagaland Minister Temjen Imna Addresses ENPO’s Concerns Over Frontier Nagaland Territory Proposal

Northeast Desk, 24th September: Nagaland Minister and BJP leader Temjen Imna addressed the concerns of the Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation (ENPO) regarding the proposed Frontier Nagaland Territory (FNT), assuring them that progress is on track. Imna acknowledged ENPO’s call for an expedited release of the draft proposal but emphasized that significant steps have already been taken by the state government.

Imna highlighted the ongoing collaboration between ENPO and the Eastern Nagaland Legislators’ Union (ENLU), stressing their active engagement with Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and the State Cabinet. According to Imna, ENLU legislators are confident that the draft proposal will be finalized soon, with preliminary discussions between ENPO and ENLU playing a key role in ensuring alignment on feasible solutions.

The minister concluded by underscoring the importance of these discussions to better reflect the concerns of the people, ensuring that the state leadership can respond effectively when the draft proposal is presented to the Chief Minister and the Cabinet.
