Guwahati, 1st October: A devastating landslide in the Latibari Third Part of Abhayapuri has resulted in the tragic death of a 50-year-old man, Anwar Hussein. The incident unfolded as local villagers came together to retrieve items from a mosque that had been severely affected by recent landslides triggered by the Manah River.
This morning, while working alongside other community members to salvage belongings, Hussein was caught in a sudden disaster when a section of the mosque collapsed. A lintel from the structure fell on him, resulting in immediate fatal injuries. Tragically, Hussein was the sole breadwinner of his family, leaving them in a precarious situation following this unexpected loss.
The incident has left the community mourning the loss of a dedicated member who was actively engaged in supporting his family and contributing to the local area.
