Manipur CM Optimistic About Safe Return of Youths Abducted by Militants

Northeast Desk, 2nd October: Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh expressed optimism regarding the government’s ongoing efforts to secure the safe return of two youths abducted by Kuki militants. Addressing media concerns during the National Cleanliness Day event, Singh reassured the public that all possible measures are being taken to resolve the situation.

The two youths were reportedly abducted on September 27 while traveling to *New Keithelmanbi. Although one of the abductees has been released, the incident has sparked widespread public outrage across the state. Citizens have called for the safe return of the remaining victims, leading to a *statewide general strike, putting pressure on the authorities to act swiftly.

CM Singh stressed the government’s commitment to resolving the crisis and voiced confidence in achieving a positive outcome soon. “We are using all resources at our disposal to bring them back safely,” he said, signaling hope for a swift resolution to the situation.
