Assam: Mother-Daughter Narrowly Escape Charging Rhinos in Kaziranga Safari Mishap
Guwahati: A potentially tragic incident was narrowly averted at Kaziranga National Park’s Bagori forest area when a mother and daughter fell from a speeding safari jeep directly in the path of two charging rhinos.
The incident, which occurred near the Donga, Raumari, and Bholukazan zones, unfolded as a teenage girl fell out of the vehicle mid-safari. In an instinctive act, her mother leapt out to help, placing them dangerously close to the advancing rhinos.
Despite the tense situation, the duo managed to display remarkable composure, climbing back into the jeep unharmed just as the rhinos closed in.
The encounter, captured by another tourist, has since gone viral on social media, sparking discussions about the risks associated with wildlife safaris and the need for stricter adherence to safety protocols.
Kaziranga National Park authorities have yet to comment on the incident. However, the event serves as a stark reminder of the unpredictable nature of wildlife safaris and the importance of maintaining precautionary measures to ensure the safety of both tourists and animals.
