Arunachal Pradesh Hosts 2nd Mega Medical Camp for Police Personnel
Itanagar: A three-day medical camp for police personnel is currently underway at the SP Office in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. The camp, which started on January 16 and will conclude on January 18, aims to prioritize the health and well-being of police personnel in the state, particularly those deployed in the Itanagar Capital Region.
The medical camp offers a range of free services, including comprehensive health checkups, lifestyle disease screenings, lab tests, and specialized consultations with cardiologists, dietitians, and psychologists. Additional services such as CMAAY and ABHA card enrollment, diagnostic procedures, and free medicines are also available.
According to Superintendent of Police, IPS Rohit Rajbir Singh, the camp expects to cater to over 700 registrations this year, a significant increase from last year’s 400 registrations. This year’s edition features compulsory TB testing and cancer screenings, including for breast, cervical, and oral cancer. The police have also engaged gynecologists to provide specialized care for female personnel.
The capital police have partnered with various private and government hospitals, including Heema Hospital, RK Mission, and TRIHMS, to make this initiative a success. With Republic Day approaching, the police are prioritizing personnel from nearby districts, many of whom will be arriving in the capital. A dietician has also been enlisted to provide guidance on dietary issues.
