An important step taken by the education department of the Government of Assam where free Aadhaar enrollment for students of all schools in Assam will be launched on 9th November, 2020 by the Deputy Commissioners in all the districts of Assam and the the Chief Secretaries of the districts included in Schedule 6.
Students of Government / Provincial Schools, Tea Garden Schools, Adarsh Vidyalayas, Kasturba Gandhi Girls’ Schools, Special Training Centers, Residential Schools, Government Aided Schools (Recognized), un-recognized Schools, Local organizational schools, Schools under Social Welfare, Central Schools, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, private schools are eligible for the enrollment. Applicable for students between the age group of 6 yrs. to 18 yrs.
