AAP: Kejriwal, Mann hold victory roadshow in Amritsar

Guwahati: Punjab Chief Minister-designate Bhagwant Mann and AAP national leader Arvind Kejriwal conducted a victory roadshow in Amritsar to commemorate their stunning victory in the Punjab elections on Sunday.

They paid obeisance at Amritsar’s Golden Temple before the march. The leaders were accompanied by 92 MPs who arrived with their supporters.

The Congress Working Committee (CWC) will meet on Sunday to assess the party’s performance and the present political environment following the party’s poor showing in the recently ended Assembly elections in five states.

Meanwhile, at 10 a.m. today, the Congress parliamentary group met to strategize for the upcoming Parliamentary Budget Session, which begins on Monday.

In another move, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is preparing to expand its influence in Gujarat, where politics has traditionally been a bipolar affair combining the BJP and the main Opposition Congress, following its surprise victory in the Punjab Assembly elections.

It may be mentioned that from March 19, the party plans to launch a “Tiranga Yatra” in each district of the state, led by a number of party leaders from Delhi.
