Guwahati: The All-Assam Students’ Union (AASU) staged a massive protest in different parts of the state on Friday in protest against the rising prices of essential commodities in Assam.
The students’ union held large-scale rallies against the government, demanding a halt to rising fuel, cylinder, medicine, and other vital commodities prices.
As per reports, the AASU is also planning a rally in Guwahati. Protesters will gather at the Swahid Niwas in Uzanbazar to begin their demonstrations.
In many sections of the state, the AASU has staged rallies against rising costs of necessary items.
