Accused in Horrific Triple Murder Case Remanded to 10-Day Police Custody in Golaghat, Assam
Guwahati, 25th July: Reports from Golaghat district in Assam reveal that the accused in the gruesome triple murder case have been remanded to 10-day police custody. The shocking incident occurred on Hindi School Road in Golaghat on Monday afternoon, where Nazibur Rahman brutally killed three members of a family, including a minor girl.
Nazibur Rahman, who is accused of eloping with a 9-month-old child after doing the horrific atrocity, turned himself in to the police after the horrible incident. Sanjeev Ghosh, the accused’s father-in-law; Junu Ghosh, the accused’s mother-in-law; and Sanghamitra Ghosh, the accused’s wife, have all been named as the victims.
The tragic incident sparked outrage among the locals of Golaghat, leading to a chaotic situation on Monday evening. An unruly mob surrounded the police station, demanding the strictest action against the accused. The mob’s agitation intensified as they allegedly attempted to break into the police station through the main entrance gate and even resorted to stoning the police personnel.
Amidst the escalating chaos, the police were left with no choice but to resort to lathi-charge to disperse the uncontrollable mob and restore order in the area. The incident has left the community in shock and has highlighted the need for swift and stringent measures to address such heinous crimes in the region.
