Actor Adil Hussain Mourns Mother’s Demise, Returns to Assam for Funeral
Guwahati, July 10: Actor Adil Hussain has shared the sad news of his mother’s passing and has flown to Assam to attend her funeral. He arrived at Guwahati airport at 1 am and reached his hometown Goalpara at 4 am. The funeral will be held later today, with the entire family expected to attend.
Hussain, born in an Assamese Muslim family in Goalpara, Assam, is the youngest of seven children. His father was a high secondary school headmaster. Hussain has had a prolific career, starring in films across multiple languages including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Tamil, Marathi, Malayalam, Norwegian, and French.
Last month, in an interview, Hussain made a strong statement saying he would not have featured in the film ‘Animal’ even if he was offered Rs 100 or Rs 200 crore for it. The actor, who had previously starred in ‘Kabir Singh’, confessed he regretted being part of that film. The director of ‘Kabir Singh’, Sandeep Reddy Vanga, criticized Hussain for his comments, but the actor has maintained his stance.
