Actor Prakash Raj Booked Over Social Media Post on Chandrayaan-3

National Desk, 22nd August: In a recent development, actor Prakash Raj has been booked by police in Karnataka’s Bagalkot district over a social media post related to India’s lunar mission, Chandrayaan-3.

According to reports, Prakash Raj was the subject of a complaint due to his position on the Chandrayaan-3 project. The case, which was filed at the Banahatti police station in the Bagalkot area, was the brainchild of leaders of Hindu organizations.

The controversy erupted after Prakash Raj shared a caricature on his platform ‘X’ (formerly known as Twitter) depicting a man pouring tea while captioning it with, “First view just arrived from Chandrayaan .. #VikramLander #justasking.”

This post received a considerable amount of backlash from the public, with many asserting that Chandrayaan-3 is linked to the pride of the nation and should not be trivialized.

Responding to the uproar, Prakash Raj later clarified that his comments were meant as a joke and that he was referring to a historical joke from the time of Armstrong. He also criticized those who misunderstood his intent and urged them to grow up.
