After Shraddha Walker murder case, another brutal killing shocks Guwahati City

Guwahati: In a shocking incident, there was a murder similar to the Shraddha Walkar case in Guwahati where a woman is accused of killing her husband and mother-in-law, dismembering the bodies and stuffing the pieces in a refrigerator.

Initial reports state that the murder occurred in the Noonmati locality of Guwahati and the incident came into light on Sunday. The murder is thought to have been the result of an extra-marital relationship that the accused woman had with another man.

According to reports, after committing the murder, the suspect sliced the two victims’ bodies into pieces and placed the pieces inside a refrigerator. The bodies were dumped in Meghalaya three days after the murder.

Bondona Kalita, the prime accused in the case, allegedly killed the victims along with her lover and another friend. Her husband Amarjyoti Dey and her mother-in-law Shankari Dey were brutally murdered by them.

It should be noted that the mother-son duo who were the case’s victims have been missing since August of last year. The terrifying murder case came to light following Bondona Kalita’s arrest.

Bondona Kalita’s co-conspirators who assisted her in committing the murder have been named as Arup Deka and Dhanjit Deka. They helped in killing the two and later in disposing off the bodies.

It is thought that the primary accused’s extramarital relationships are what gave rise to the entire murder incident.

The accused, Bondona Kalita has been taken into custody and is being kept at the Panbazar All Women Police Station in Guwahati.

However, Bondona’s two accomplish Arup Das and Dhanjit Deka are now in the custody of Noonmati Police in Guwahati.

It should be noted that reports of the gruesome murder incident, in which the wife killed both her husband and mother-in-law, surfaced late on Sunday night. Soon after the arrest of Bondona Kalita, details about the murder came to light.

Bondona confessed during questioning that she have killed the two victims, she and the other two accomplices had dismembered their bodies and stuffed them inside a refrigerator.

She added that they carried the body parts to Meghalaya three days after the crime and disposed them there in separate locations.

Police have launched a search operation for the victims’ body parts in the neighbouring state of Meghalaya based on her confession.

Furthermore, it has come to light that the prime accused, Bondona Kalita, was a serial cheater who had relationships with numerous men. She and her lover devised a plan to kill the mother-son duo because she wanted to take over the land that belonged to her husband. Startling parallels can be drawn between the case and the recent Shraddha Walkar murder investigation, which rocked the entire country.
