Guwahati: A day after Congress chief Sonia Gandhi tested positive for Covid-19, congress leader and her daughter, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra confirmed on Twitter that she too has contracted Covid-19.
Priyanka has secluded herself at home after testing positive with minor symptoms.
Sharing the news on Twitter, Priyanka Gandhi wrote, “I’ve tested positive with mild symptoms. Following all the protocols, I’ve quarantined myself at home. “I would request those who came in contact with me to take all necessary precautions,”

Sonia Gandhi tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday, just days before her appearance before the ED for questioning in the National Herald case. The Congresswoman is showing signs of illness and has isolated herself.
On June 8, she must appear before the ED. In the 2011-12 National Herald case, the ED had issued summonses to both Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in a case involving money laundering charges.
