Alibaba co-founder Jack Ma makes first public appearance in 3 months
Chinese billionaire and Alibaba’s co-founder Jack Ma made his first ever appearance in public October last year. Jack Ma was seen addressing 100 rural teachers in a video conference on Wednesday. Jack Ma had not appeared in public since October 24, where he blasted China’s regulatory system in a speech at a Shanghai forum.
In video released by the Chinese media the Alibaba co-founder said “We’ll meet again after the pandemic is over.” After his reappearance Alibaba’s Hong Kong-listed shares jumped more than 6%, compared with a 0.64% rise in the Hang Seng index.
