Guwahati: The three accused in the double murder case in Guwahati was sent to police custody for an additional four days.

Bondona Kalita, Arup Deka, and Dhanjit Deka were remanded in police custody in order to collect additional evidence.

The three accused were brought before the judge earlier today as their custody was ending.

The authorities have so far carried out two search operations in Meghalaya to look for the body’s remains.

Another raid to retrieve the parts may occur in the state.

Bondona Kalita spent hours being questioned yesterday at the Panbazar All Women Police Station in connection with the matter.

A team from the Noonmati Police who were looking into the shocking murder case arrived at the Panbazar Police Station after being granted custody of Bondona Kalita.

According to reports, the prime accused in the murder case, Bondona Kalita, was questioned by the investigating officer for hours in the presence of the Panbazar Police Station OC.

It should be noted that Bondona Kalita is the main suspect, having planned the murders of her spouse and mother-in-law with the assistance of the two other suspects.

The mother-son pair was killed, their bodies were cut up, and the pieces were placed in a refrigerator for three days before the trio went on a killing rampage in Meghalaya, disposing of the body parts.
