Coronavirus origin country China has exported 224 billion masks from March to December 2020, equal to almost 40 masks for every person in the world outside of China. According to reports the shipments worth around $52 billion represented about 2% of all Chinese exports in 2020.
Chinese exports of medical equipment and medicines also rose 31% year-on-year in Pandemic hit year of 2020. Demand for masks, hospital suits and gowns, ventilators and other pandemic-related goods also increased in the last year.
