Guwahati: In a major setback to the Assam Congress, former minister Khorsing Engti has resigned from the party on Wednesday.
President Bhupen Borah of the APCC accepted Engti’s resignation.
Engti decided to withdraw from the party after it loses in the Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council elections.
Engti was the party’s Vice-President and the hill district’s coordinator.
