Guwahati: The Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) on Wednesday has expelled senior party leader Nilamani Sen Deka for violating the party norms.
Congress President Bhupen Borah in an order issued stated that the Congress leader was expelled with immediate effect.
The party in a notification said that he had previously been instructed numerous times not to make destructive statements about the party and that despite his written commitment, he is engaging in anti-party actions.
