Arunachal: Governor BD Mishra wishes Adis on ‘Unying Aran’

Itanagar: The festival of the Adi ‘New Year’ Unying Aran is celebrating in Arunachal Pradesh. Arunachal Pradesh’s Governor Brig(Retd) B.D Mishra has extended greetings to the people of Arunachal on the auspicious occasion of Aran.

Unying Aran is one of the most popular and the oldest festival of the Adi tribe. It is celebrated on the onset of spring season.

Aran is basically a hunting festival followed by an Adi community.

It may be mentioned that Aran is celebrated to offer the prayers for bumper harvest to ‘KINE NANE’ the Goddess of crops and prosperity, ‘DOYING BOTE’ the God of wisdom, ‘DADI BOTE’ the God of animal kigdom.

Unying Aran is a festival that celebrated to encourage and to propagate the benevolent relationship between the mankind and the nature.

Moreover, the Arunachal Chief Minister Pema Khandu has also wishes warmest greetings to the people of state.
