Arunachal: Pan Arunachal Committee Condemns Government’s Response to APPSC Scandal
Northeast Desk, 20th February: The Pan Arunachal Joint Steering Committee (PAJSC) expressed strong criticism of the government’s handling of the ongoing APPSC cash-for-job scandal on February 20. In a scathing indictment, the committee lamented the lack of meaningful action by authorities despite repeated appeals to address systemic flaws in the recruitment process.
Amid mounting frustration, key leaders of the APPSC movement, including Tadak Nalo, Vice Chairman of PAJSC, alongside Marge Kamnyi and Techi Rana, faced arrest by law enforcement. PAJSC condemned these detentions as an attempt to stifle dissent and silence voices demanding accountability.
The detained activists have been at the forefront of advocating for transparency and fairness in Arunachal Pradesh’s public service recruitment. Their arrest underscores the unresolved grievances stemming from alleged irregularities within the APPSC.
PAJSC reiterated its commitment to peaceful advocacy and urged the government to engage in constructive dialogue to address public concerns. The committee emphasized the need for decisive action to restore trust and integrity in the recruitment process, urging authorities to heed the calls for reform.
