Assam: National Level Swimmer Succumbs to Injuries after being hit by dumper in North Guwahati

Guwahati, 20th February: In a tragic incident, a national level swimmer passed away on February 20 at Guwahati Medical College and Hospital, succumbing to injuries sustained in a collision with a dumper on February 17.

The swimmer was identified as Hemanta Das.

Das was involved in a accident on Saturday, February 17, when a dumper collided head-on with a Nano car in North Guwahati’s Silsako area.

Hemanta, hailing from Rajaduar in North Guwahati, had proudly represented Assam at various national swimming competitions, showcasing his talent and dedication to the sport.
