Arunachal: Protesters Meet Chief Minister Pema Khandu

Guwahati: At least ten members of the agitated protestors met with CM Pema Khandu on February 18 in the most recent development to the ongoing protest on the Arunachal APPSC paper leakage issue.

According to reports, ten protesters left the street during the ongoing demonstration in Itanagar, the nation’s capital which has reached its second day. They walked to the Civil Secretariat to meet the CM.

Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Pema Khandu pleaded with all troubled youths and members of the public to comprehend the situation and keep the peace. CM Pema Khandu has invited students to his office in the Civil Secretariat on February 18 at 11 a.m. to participate in a discussion on their 13 points of demands.

The letter stated, “You are aware that from day one, the State Govt has strongly condemned the unfortunate paper leakage matter in APPSC.”

The letter went on to say that the State Government had been actively addressing the sad situation and had expressed its sincere sorrow over it. It further said that the State Government had periodically discussed the progress of each measure it had taken with the Stakeholders.

The letter further read “However, looking at the turn of events today. Hon’ble Chief Minister has invited and has requested your presence at 11:00 AM on 18th February 2023, 6th Floor, State Civil Secretariat to deliberate all your issues in the matter and reach a solution which is in the larger interest of the State. Kindly make it convenient to attend the said meeting.”
