Arunachal: Truck Carrying Essentials Washed Away after Landslides In Dibang Valley

Guwahati: Arunachal Pradesh has been experiencing nonstop rain for the past two days and landslides have been reported to be causing problems for commuters.

A truck loaded with essentials being swept away by a landslide and it is unclear whether the driver of the truck managed to escape. 

The vehicle turns turtle and falls into the deep gorge behind while a JCB was working to clear the route that has been blocked by the landslide.

The road between Roing and Anini in the Dibang Valley district of Arunachal Pradesh was blocked following heavy rainfall and landslides reported in multiple locations. 

The blocked points have been equipped with machinery and staff for clearing out the rubble but the ongoing clearing work is being hampered by the incessant rain.

According to an advisory issued by the district administration, everyone is urged to take the necessary precautions until the rain stops.
