Arunachal’s Budget Session to begin on February 8, Interim Budget Expected on February 9

Northeast Desk, 1st February: The budget session of the Arunachal Pradesh assembly is set to commence on February 8, with Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein expected to present a vote on account on the following day. Governor Lt Gen K T Parnaik will address the members of the House on the inaugural day of the two-day budget session.

Summoning the 7th legislative assembly for its 13th session from February 8 to 9, the governor’s order outlines the agenda for the session. Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, who holds the portfolios of state finance and planning minister, is anticipated to present the interim budget on February 9. This development precedes the upcoming assembly elections and Lok Sabha Polls later in the year, as per sources. Additionally, several bills are likely to be introduced during the two-day session.
