Guwahati: An employee of the Assam State Commission for Women (ASCW) was discovered hanging in the office of the ASCW in Beltola of Guwahati on Sunday.
The employee was discovered hanging from a ceiling fan in one of the office’s rooms.
The deceased has been identified as Pradeep Talukdar who is a resident of Guwahati’s Zoo Road area.
The cause for his severe action has yet to be determined.
Talukdar, an accountant at ASCW, had arrived to work in the morning despite the fact that the company was closed for the weekend.
Meanwhile, a team of officers from the Basistha police station arrived on the scene and began an investigation.
Kumarika Borgohain owned the office room where Talukdar was discovered hanging.
The security guard who was on duty, said that the deceased often came to the office on Sundays to finish pending works.
