Guwahati: On Sunday, the Crime Branch arrested an Asha employee in relation to the insurance scam, in which fake certifications were offered to obtain insurance money.
Sushila Rabha, an Asha employee who works at Rani’s Mairapur Sub-Health Center, has been identified.
Sushila allegedly used to assist the gang in creating false death certificates.
A bullet bike owned by Dhiraj Das, who is now in jail, was seized by the criminal section.
The group was acting as an agent for Bihar natives Santosh Jha and Rajiv Ranjan, who previously ran their operations from their home state.
The Crime Branch has so far arrested nine people, including a lady.
