Assam: 150 Pigs Culled due to Swine Flu Outbreak in Mangaldoi

Guwahati: A total of 150 pigs were sentenced to death in Mangaldoi on Tuesday as a result of the swine flu outbreak that spread over multiple regions in the Darrang district of Assam.

The district administration took this action in an effort to stop the sickness from spreading. The pigs were killed and buried in pits by the district administration at Kamarpara in Mangaldoi .

Notably, pigs with the flu were found in the district’s Pathorighat, Komarpara, and Godhia Para areas. The infection had spread in the Darrang district after the floods in Assam.

The district’s infection outbreak is now a serious source of worry for the pig producers.
