Guwahati: In a major crack-down against bike-lifters, Assam Police arrested two bike lifters from Darrang Police on December 30.
The arrestees identified as Inamul Haque and Ganiruddin Ahmed.
The duo has been arrested by the Mangaldai Police from different places (Autla, Jabarikuchi and Bechimari area) of the district.
The police recovered 3 motorcycles and 3 scooters from their possession.
Notably, five cases of theft of cars were registered in Bhangagarh, Paltanbazar and Panbazar police station in Guwahati.
It needs to be mentioned that police officials are currently questioning the accused and investigating the matter.
