Guwahati: At least two people killed in a mishap with a speeding train in Assam’s Dhemaji district.
The incident took place at the at Samarajan Panitula. Both the deceased were travelling Scorpio car when they were hit by Arunachal Naharlagun-Tinsukia intercity express resulting their death in the incident.
Meanwhile, one identified as Dimpul Borgohain who aged around 35 years old died on the spot while the woman identified as Amarawati Doley who is 65-years-old died on the way to hospital.
Following the tragic incident, a heated scene has been created by the angry locals over matter.
It may be mentioned that the accident took place at Panitula area when Borgohain tried to pass the rail crossing not knowing that the train was coming from the other side.
