Assam: 23 Endangered Vultures Die in Rani area
Guwahati: A total of critically endangered vultures was found dead in Rani area.
The forest department with the help of residents burned 21 vultures and a dog at the Nalapara Forest Block Office on Friday.
According to reports, two of the dead vultures were held at the Vulture Conservation Breeding Centre in Rani for forensic testing to determine the cause of death.
Twelve vultures are currently being treated.
It needs to be noted that 23 vultures were discovered dead with many others in serious condition on Thursday.
