Guwahati: In the ongoing war against drugs Assam Police arrested one person in Jorhat district of Assam.
The arrestee was identified as Md Papu Bhuyan alias Abdul.
During the operation the police officials recovered around 8.73 grams of suspected brown sugar from his possession.
Moreover, the police recovered for syringe, one container and seized one mobile phone.
Sharing the development the Jorhat Police wrote on Twitter, “Based on secret information OC Pulibor recovered 8.73 gram suspected brown sugar from the possession of Md. Papu Bhuyan @ Abdul (29 y)S/O Babul Bhuyan of Pulibor.All the formalities has been done as per NDPS act.”

Legal action has been initiated under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 into the matter and further investigation is underway.
