Assam: 8 School Girls Injured In Head-On Collision at Sipajhar

Guwahati, 25 May: As many as eight school students were injured after a head-on collision accident in Sipajhar under Darrang District of Assam.

According to reports, the school girls were travelling in a tempo van which collided with an oncoming Alto car with the licence plate “AS 13L 5374” in the Dumunichowki area.

AThe injured students have been identified as Njuma Begum, Maina Boro, Madhusmita Boro, Asmina Khatun, Risa Begum, Anowara Begum, Padma Begum and Rojina Begum.

Reportedly, two of them are reportedly in critical condition.

All of the injured were immediately sent to the Bezera Community Health Centre for treatment after the accident.

Earlier, in a tragic road accident, two students were hit by the convoy of an Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) in Assam’s Majuli.

The tragic incident took place in Borguri Tiniali of Majuli.

According to reports, a 14 years old youth lost his life and another student was severely injured in the accident.

The deceased was a class seven student at the Borguri Jorbil Rupjyoti ME School. Additionally, the other youth who was severely injured in the accident is also the student of same school.

Both of the students were standing in front of a store in Borguri Tiniali waiting, when they were struck by a Bolero with the licence plate AS03X1003 which was travelling from Jengraimukh.

The injured student was sent immediately to the civil hospital, Garmur Pitambar Dev Goswami. As a result of the incident, tensions are currently high in the hospital.
