Assam: Allegations of Absenteeism Plague Teacher in Dhubri; Calls for Investigation Intensify

Guwahati, 18th September: In Dhubri, Assam, serious allegations have emerged against Biswajyoti Das, an assistant teacher at 2448 No. Borbila Part-II LP School, who has reportedly been absent from school for extended periods. This situation has sparked significant frustration among parents and community members, as it severely impacts students’ education.

Sources indicate that Das’s frequent absences have left students either without proper instruction or reliant on substitute teachers. Parents have voiced their discontent, stating that their children’s education is suffering due to Das’s habitual absenteeism.

Afazuddin Prodhani, the headmaster of the school, expressed his concerns, saying, “Our children’s future is at stake. The teacher’s repeated absence is affecting their learning, and despite raising our concerns with the school administration and local education authorities, nothing has changed.”

This is not the first time complaints against Das have been filed. The headmaster has reportedly submitted several formal grievances to the district’s education department, but no action has been taken. This perceived inaction has led to accusations that officials might be protecting Das, possibly due to political connections or bureaucratic indifference.

With public outcry escalating, there are growing demands for a comprehensive investigation into the matter. The situation continues to develop as community members call for accountability and action to address the issue.
