Assam BJP MLA Denies Involvement in Suicide Case, Calls for Thorough Investigation
Guwahati, 16th August: Amidst allegations linking him to the alleged suicide of BJP Kishan Morcha Secretary Indrani Tahbildar, Assam BJP MLA Siddhartha Bhattacharya has vehemently denied any involvement and called for a thorough investigation into the matter. In a letter addressed to state BJP chief Bhabesh Kalita, Bhattacharya expressed his frustration at being made a scapegoat and emphasized that if any evidence implicates him, the party should take appropriate action.
State BJP chief Bhabesh Kalita assured that whoever is found to have violated party discipline will face consequences. He stressed the need for proper investigation and mentioned that new members would be inducted only after thorough background checks. Kalita also mentioned that his own name was mentioned in the case but clarified that he wasn’t acquainted with the individuals involved.
